Estonian air cargo charter company Avem Aero has leased an Antonov An-26 aircraft from Ukrainian company Constanta Airline.
The aircraft has a maximum payload of 5.5 tonnes and an effective cargo volume of 60 cu m. It has already completed “a few urgent missions”.
Avem Aero said the new aircraft enables it to offer clients “a wider spectrum of services, including transportation of oil well equipment, military, dangerous goods, and all types of outsized cargo”.
The AN-26 ramp slides under the fuselage or lowers down to the ground, ensuring also quick loading and unloading operations, said the company.
Established in 2018, Avem Aero specialises in time-sensitive air cargo charters and ad hoc services within Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
It transports automotive components, AOG, oil and gas, dangerous goods, military goods, pharmaceuticals, and live animals.
